Changing Address On Driving License

The DVLA makes the process simple enough for learner and qualified drivers. You can tell the DVLA your address has changed online or by post. Either method is free, unless you're looking to update your photograph.
It is also illegal to hold more than one driving licence in the UK. If you have a paper licence fill in the D1 or D2 form from the Post Office. If you have a private registration number and it's not on a vehicle, you must update your V750 or V778 documents. The new services will continue to be tested during this live phase and customer feedback will be used to improve the service further. There is a fee of £10.50 that you can pay using the Licence payment form. It also tackles collision reporting, eyesight policy, driver fatigue, speeding and parking offences and vehicle security.
If this is the case, all you've got to do is fill in the 'changes' section. Before you go into full meltdown mode, breathe in and out—you can simply order a licence application form online or pick one up from your local post office. If you're driving a car or motorcycle, you'll need form D1. If you're driving a lorry or bus, then it will be form D2.
Your driving licence is a legal document and inaccurate information on it could see you hit with a massive £1,000 fine. We are License Assistance,a third party check and send service we are in no way affiliated with the UK Government or the DVLA , our pricing, services and benefits can be found on our homepage. You can submit your information directly to the DVLA for a standard service and in some cases may not be charged a fee.
If you wish to sell your personal registration plate then visit our Number Plate Valuation page. renew driving licence can supply most car registrations on government certificates issued by the DVLA, which will be valid for 10 years. Every number plate and car registration we supply can be transferred via the DVLA, by us or our customers. Some of the 'cherished registrations' offered originate from DVLA Government stock. Your licence provides a date, under category 4b, by when your photo must be updated.
Now, if you've changed address, it's not just your driving licence that needs updating. You also need to change the address on your vehicle log book and update your Direct Debit (if that's how you pay your vehicle tax). We all know that moving house can be a stressful experience. What many drivers don't realise, though, is that you could end up unknowingly breaking the law by not updating your driving licence when you change your address. Yep, that's right—you need to inform the DVLA when you've changed address, or risk being slapped with a hefty fine. If you want to avoid that possibility, you need to make sure you know exactly how to change your driving licence address.
You can change your photo and/or your address using the Post Office service, however any other changes such as name or gender change would need to be done directly with the DVLA. You can still upgrade your paper licence at any time by applying to exchange it for a photocard. Then, the entire log book needs to be posted to the DVLA using the address provided above, or the DVA if you’re in Northern Ireland.
